Hi all im just wondering if anyone can help me with a few possibly related problems i have with my 2008 v50 2.0 diesel, 1 i have a imbolliser try start again on the dash display, cant crank engine, 2 alarm has stopped working i can lock car with fob with drivers window and open door from inside with no sound from the alarm indicators flash on both lock and unlock, could this be giving me the imobiliser fault ?. 3 on occasions when car was running if i parked up and removed key from ignition all the lights would come on and only way to get them to go off was to reinsert key and remove again, could this unit have failed and now be causing the aforementioned fault ? or is it the ECM ?, ECU unit has been replaced with a cloned one as i was told this was the fault, main car battery is brand new, new alternator fitted some time last year. I have tried all the tricks i could find online ie lock unlock 5 times whacking the key whilst in the ignition removing alarm fuse for 5 minutes and reinserting to no avail, and am now at a total loss as what to do next, any help you guys could give would be very much welcomed
