I've been researching used 850 Volvo wagons and attempting to find one that fits our needs. My spouse's Mazda (1990 626 HB) has 205,000 miles and still runs great but we thought it better to begin searching for our next ride. Our other car is a 93 Mazda Miata.

I'm curious about the pros and cons of the two turbo engines the 850 offers. Is one better than the other? I owned two SAABs, one with the light pressure turbo and the other with the full turbo. Horsepower and gas mileage were the only differences. Reliability was about the same.

I'd like to hear from 850 turbo owners and their experiences with that model.
