HardWiring Radar Detector to a Fuse in XC70 08 - All fuses have power ON all the time
Hey guys!
Im trying to hardwire a Valentine V1 radar detector to my XC70 08 via Add-A-Fuse mini fuse tap and it seems that all the fuses underneath the passenger glove compartment have power supplied to them all the time.
When the radar detector is connected to the fuse, it stays powered on even when i turn the ignition off, take the key **** out, close the door and lock the doors from outside.
I tried many fuses, including the radio/information message one and all of them seem to have power on all the time.
In fact im able to keep the radio playing when the car is off, the key **** is outside and the doors are explicitly locked by the key know.
Any advice as to whats going on with these fuses and whether id be able to use them to power radar detector only when the ignition is on?
