I bought a 2001 XC70 yesterday, so I thought I'd better plan ahead by joining this list.
About 10 years ago I had a 1998 850 wagon which I liked. After a day, I like the XC too. Solid, weighty--more of a boat than the 850 was. No off-roading planned, although opportunities abound up here. It's the possibility of unintentional winter off-roading that make me feel good about this car.
