hi from newbie 2000 V70
Hello,
I'm a new Volvo owner, of a 2000 V70 manual (190k km). I've driven mostly Mazdas in the past. I liked their sporty feel and handling (fit the budget) and have been disappointed with the integrity of the metal.
I was instantly impressed with the feel of the V70 (power, weight, and comfort).
My reason for posting was to sort out a problem with the tailgate latch not always catching. Car goes to the shop tomorrow. I'm working with a new garage and hoping not to get fleeced as a newbie to Volvos.
I'm looking forward to many more years of Volvo motoring!
Tom

Hi Tom,
Welcome to the forum, I hope the forum would be of some help.
Make sure to follow scheduled maintenance, as it is one of the major causes for premature breakdowns. NEVER neglect on the timing belt + tensioner + pulley replacement at every 70,000 miles or 5 years.
Best wishes to you,
JPN
