Just dropping in to say hi, I've realized that I lurk way too much. I'll start with I live in NC, and currently have a 1992 740 wagon, and a 1994 850 sedan. I got started with Volvo's about a year and a half ago, with my first, a '99 S70.



I got it with 120,000 miles on it and within a month, put nearly 8,000 miles on it.
It was a fantastic road trip car.

Sadly, 3 months after having it, a lady ran a red light. She clipped my front end, totalling my car. I came out of it fine, where as she had a broken arm. FWIW, she was driving a Jeep. It looks a lot worse for me than it was.





After that, it was about a month with no car. I received my insurance check, and was browsing through craigslist, and found a mint 740 wagon.
It had only 85,000 ORIGINAL miles, and was a two owner car. I have records for up to 35,000 miles. And the best part is I paid only $1000 for it!












A few months ago, I also bought an 850 5 speed. I realized now that I really want to sell it, as it reminds me too much of the s70. I just have a hard time driving in it. There is the for sale thread here---> https://volvoforums.com/forum/showth...923#post228923
