Default high milage need help

Hi i have been to look at an Rdesign V40 21 plate today with a milage of 119,000.
It was previously a fleet care so more than likely motorway milage.
Its priced at just short of £9000
I'm just wondering whether im gonna get burnt if i buy it or what
Please help!!

Not sure if there's a market survey service in the UK like KBB.COM (Kelly Blue Book) or Carfax that will tell you a suggested retail price. IMHO, 120K miles is not that high (I've owned 3 cars that all went past 250K) but the key is going to be maintenance records. If you can't find a service like KBB, do a lot of comparison shopping to see what similar models / mileage are selling for. As to maintenance and repairs, check whether the engine has a timing belt and whether the service has been done or when its due. If you are not car savvy, you can also pay to have a shop do a full inspection for about 1-2 hours labor cost to see if they can find any weaknesses.

Hi thankyou for the reply.
My main concern is the mileage for a 4 year old car, despite it being an ex fleet car and should have been serviced well.
Ive asked the garage to request the service history from the fleet company and they are offering a 3 year warranty
