Howdy
Hello All,
I am new to the forum and possibly will be a new volvo owner. I currently own a '98 V70 that I loved until I was involved in a 6 car accident on the hi-way last Sunday. I made it out OK, but needless to say, my car is some what of a mess. Remarkably, however, given the external damage to the car, there was very little cabin damage which I can be greatful for.
I believe my car will be considered totalled -- with the amount of damage on it and it's miles (I was 300 miles away from joining the 200k club!) I hope to get at least $7000 for it. My hopes are to get another '98 V70, possibly a T5 or even an R.
Thanks,
... Tacket

Wow, sounds like Volvo's obsession with safety paid off for you!
Hope you get your new Volvo soon, T5 or R sound good to me, several forum members have them if you want to get opinions under the relevant model section as to which will suit best.
Regards.

RE: Howdy
Personally I've only ever looked at the "cars for sale" ads, I've never bought from that section of ebay.
Some of the language used by sellers to deter timewasters is a little strong for my liking & some of the feedback, in both directions, is actually blasphemous, so I've always been put off.
That said, my brother-in-law just bought from ebay - an Audi A4 Avant in immaculate condition for just over half the market price, not much documentation came with it but I've looked it over & displayed mileage looks correct & mechanically I can find nothing wrong with it.
Some forum members have bought cars from ebay too, so maybe they can guide you better than I can.
A guy on another forum just paid £20.01 for a 440 that wouldn't run under 1500 rpm & it only cost him another £120 to fix up (turned out rotor arm & distributer cap were knackered) - bargain!
Good luck looking for your next Volvo.
