Introduction
New to this forum.
My name is Matt and I'm in Richmond, Va. I have owned a few Volvos over the years and currently own a 1993 945 Turbo.
I'm working on cleaning up a few small issues on this wagon. The previous owner took pretty good care of it. I snagged a pair of cloth seats from the junk yard today from a 1990 745. The seats that were in the wagon when I got it were all torn up and the driver seat was a tan leather seat that was dyed black as you can see in the pictures. So they had to go. I was lucky to find a matching pair with heat. Installed them today and got the heated seats working again.
Other issues are obviously the hood. At some point it was brush painted red, so I will be respraying the hood in the Spring.
The motor is in good shape. Timing belt and harmonic balancer were replaced at 175K and it currently has 216k
Runs well and had about $2000 worth of work done before I purchased it. Mainly maintenance fixes. Suspension, exhaust, a new wheel and a few other things.
Over the next few months I will be addressing the front end. Needs mostly basic fixes but I'll do what I can as cash is available.
I will be looking to some of you guys for help along the way.
