Hey!! This is a total first for me!! My first day as a Volvo owner and first day on this site here. I hope that it will be an enjoyable experience.

I've always wanted a Volvo wagon. Well, today I purchaced a 1987 240 DL wagon. It has some issues to be repaired, such as a ball joint on the drivers side and it needs shocks. It shimmies about like it may need a front end alignment. I truely think that fixing the ball joint (it's really that bad) and have an alignment done should fix that. This car has 210,000 miles on it and runs like a dream. It's a five speed. The clutch and transmission feels great. Although, it also needs bushings new bushings in the shifter. There's alot of play and finding gears is a blast. I'm happy that I went ahead and made the purchase that I made today. I found this forum doing some research online. I look forward to talking with people on here as I'm sure it will be informative and fun.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of information on the 240 series in that forum. If you have a problem my guess is someone has already posted in the forum.
