Hey all--forty-five years of keeping cars running, so far. I love old, simple hoopties like my '62 Beetle. And my old BSA scooter.

BUT: father-in-law just gave us a 2000 V70 wagon, about 128 K miles, mechanically okay but not kept clean. The dash is alive with spurious trouble lights, so...

I'm about to mail the ABS module to a guy whom I have heard about, Victor Roca, for repair. Wish me luck.

My wife is wild about this car. I'm toast. If I can't doll this thing up for her it's new car time. Staying tuned for informed discussions. This car is pretty cool and I really want to get another 100 grand out of it, if possible. And keep mama out of the new car dealer's showroom.

+1 on the reman of the ABS module. There are plenty of things you can do to "doll" up the V70. Lowering springs, bigger wheels, tinted windows, heck, even fuzzy dice . Check out the forums for ideas.

 

I have seen two outfits who rebuild these modules: "bba-reman" and the Victor Roca site--is Roca still doing this-? No answer to my inquiry. (I hope this is the proper thread to ask this)--thanx
