Hi guys,
I'm from Sacramento, CA. I just bought a 1999 S80 T6. This is my first car. I am really illiterate in cars and know nothing about car techs, mechanics and details. All I know is to drive a car.
The used car dealer took this as an advantage and sold me the S80 with 77K miles for $9,500. Later I found out that there is a **** load of mechanical work to be done to the car. I spent $6,000 to replace the two turbo chargers, front brakes, front spring seats, engine mount, one link rod etc etc.
Well, that's my experience with my first car; the car looks great though, I like it.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you find it helpful & enjoyable.
When you wish to post technical questions, please do a bit of in-forum search and make sure to post them in the S80 forum or General Volvo Chat section. Don't worry about not knowing much, we all started from knowing nothing. And unlike other automotive forums, we generally do not have hooligans, and I myself, as a moderator, delete rude, sarcastic or offensive replies aimed at an individual (though certain cases must be handled by the Administrators).
Check the recalls against your car at:

If your car develops one of those problems, go to the dealer and they must fix the problem free of charge.
