Hello everybody,

Just made deposit for 1998 V70. I never had Volvo before but always wanted one. Volvo makes best station wagons, IMHO, and design and aesthetics of V70 that was build until 200 is most appealing to my taste. I wanted one with manual transmission, primarily because it is much more fun to drive for me, and secondly, it would be far less expensive to fix a clutch rather than automatic transmission. So mine is 5 speed manual. Initially I wanted turbo or T5, but opted for regular engine for the sake $$$. Oh yes, it is black with tan leather interior. leather is not in as good shape as I would like so I will be posting relevant question in another forum. I can wait to bring her home this week!

What are your plans for it. Your missing out on the turboed versions. That is where the fun is.

Sweet. I just purchased a 2000 V70. Went without the turbo and with the 5 speed for the same reasons. Mine is silver with black leather, and plastic/wood trim. It is not the quickest thing around but it is also not the slowest. Fuel economy is very acceptable. I average 26 city 30 highway, as long as I stay below 70mph. I love mine, hope you do too.
