Default Just wanted to say hi

Hey everyone,

New to the forums and just wanted to introduce ourselves. My girlfriend is the owner of this S40. Collectively we own the company Cheer Ink. We are both designers and screenprinters, and I also make vinyl decals. We figured what better way to promote our business than by pimping out her Volvo (we used removable vinyl as not to ruin her clearcoat).

Future plans include coilovers, upgraded OEM wheels, intake, dual exhaust, valences and side skirts from the turbo model, custom badgeless grill and some interior goodies.

I've quickly come to realize that there isn't a huge tuner market for Volvos, but that's OK. I'm prepared for a challenge. I've built a few cars, so I know my way around the garage fairly well. We plan on keeping the car clean (besides the decals) with an OEM+ look. Hopefully we can get some inspiration from all of you on this site..

Mike

Nice car, and good way to advertise.

There actually is a fairly large tuning community amongst Volvos, just not in the S40s. The 200 series and the 850 have tons of potential. (Such as the 591 bhp T5-R on VS)

Yeah, I should have specified that I meant the S40. I'm involved with watercooled VW's where the scene is kind of ridiculously out of control.

I forgot to add a picture so here you guys go..

Is that the actual vinyl on it, or is it that photoshopped? If it is the actual car...Damn, that's sweet. I think some wheels and coilovers would top it off so nicely.

Thanks. That's actually vinyl decals on the car. Here's a sped-up video of them being applied http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1E00fvfzXg

Oh yeah I wanted to ask..

The dealer told my girlfriend when she bought the car that it was a "rare" silver. Its definitely not as light as most S40s that I see on the road. The picture is deceiving but you can see it better in the video.

Anyone know the color name, # of cars produced etc??

The dealer can get you the color code and you can email Volvo North America and they can get you that info. BTW, Welcome to the Forum. Nice S40!
