Most cars are designed the same
Any reason you posted the same question 3 times? as far as a non volvo mechanic - that's not really a concern. Most cars are designed the same. The year of your car has more to do with the diagnostics to this issue. Example, prior to 2005 or so, Volvos used a fixed pressure pump with a pressure regulator to maintain pressure at the fuel rail. After that, Volvos used a variable pressure pump with a pressure sensor to provide a signal to the pump controller to increase the fuel pressure with the ECU controlling the pressure. Given your fault code, you are being told by the ECU that the pressure at the rail going into was out of range - not that the injectors were bad. There's a different code to say when the solenoid in an injector goes open or shorts so the code is telling you that the fuel pressure went out of spec.
