I picked up a 1994 850 Turbo Wagon last Friday. It needed an Alternator and now it needs a starter. But I love the car. I was having one heck of a time removing the starter so I googled how and found this site.

should be 2 bolts take out the bolts if it wont come out a tap with a hammer done it for me and WD40

 

Welcome to VolvoForums, you have a great car on your hands. The starters can be a real B to get out though, but you will get it. Good luck.

 

Thanks for the replies. There was a bracket holding the starter to the block.
