Just bought my first Volvo. A 1989 740GL wagon. Got it for $650.00 (craigslist). The next day I put in a new rack and pinion, $375.00; so I guess I have a new (to me) Volvo for 1025.00. Right now she has 174,000 miles. Timing belt, valve cover, and shocks/struts were just done so I hope she last awhile. The body and paint are solid as can be. Oh ya I bought 8 NEW tires for it off craigslist for the unbeatable price of $100.00, all mounted (on alloy rims) and balanced; 4 all season, 4 snow (on steel rims). So $1125.00 invested.

Anyway thought I'd say hey.

Welcome to the forum, I hope we can be of some help in keeping your Volvo.

Be sure to replace all fluids & filters, check the brakes, light bulbs, etc...
