Good evening all Volvo lovers....My name is Kenneth( Ken) a Swede, living in N.VA since -97 and I just bought my 5th Volvo and my 1st FWD.-96 850 GLT and I have just started to take care of some small "fixing". The major, and a must any time you get a new, used car, is a new timing belt and all the other belts, water pump and Oil and Filter!
I discover that the Horns was missing and I have an 89 745, for parts, and I was trying the horns i saved from that one and it turned out that when I turn on the ignition I heard some good noise from it and that was before I press the steering-wheel so I assume I have some problem with that and I would kindly like to hear from you if anyone of you have had the same problem with the 850?
850 is a totally new car for me and up to now I have been working with 444, a 1955, and that was my 1st, what I used to call, legal car. aka I turned 18 and could get my licence and take my car out on the road. I had a couple of junk cars when I was 16 but could only drive in the woods but it was a lot of fun.....some 140s, a few 240s, 740s and currently i drive a 92 745 Turbo, parting out my 89 745 GL. 2 940s, both -93 and one of them a 945 Turbo, love this car!
