Need quick answer on V60 CC!!! Please
I just found a clean 2017 volvo V60 T5 cross Country with 33K miles. I did my research and need all to let me know if it's a good car?? I feel this is a good car. I need to tell the dealer if I'm interested in 1-2 days.
btw...I had 3 volvo's in the past (v70 and 2 xc 70's) and this is number 4.
Thanks,
Eric

If the price is right, I'd go for it. Do you $$ homework using tools like KBB and search nationwide asking prices using Autotrader and similar sites. It should be under the factory warranty for a bit and its new enough to consider an extended warranty if you are concerned about the costs of repairs. The I4 turbo got good reviews and should return decent MPGs and with 240 HP, will be surprisingly fast. Is it a CPO car or just coming off lease? I'd ask the dealer for a CarFax just to see if there's any history of accidents, used in a rental fleet etc (exec leases are generally not abused, rentals has that uncertainty so its a good negotiating point.
Thank you for your quick reply. Yes. I did a lot of my homework and used Kelley blue book and I have a copy of the Carfax. The Carfax is very clean and I negotiated under bluebook value so I’m pretty happy from a price perspective. I just want to make sure the car has a good mechanical history in general. I think they do but just wanted to double check with people.
Yes. It is a car coming off of a Volvo lease. The history of the Carfax looks very clean in the car drove very well. It is a certified Volvo with no major fixes required.
Because it is a 2017 I still have three years of warranty. In general I’m pretty happy and was going to buy it today. I had 2 XC 70 vehicles and they both had some type of backend issue. But I was not sure about this vehicle
thanks,
Eric

I think your approach is spot on. That's exactly how I bought my 2012 back in 2014. Interestingly, Kiplingers posted an article that noted that from a financial investment perspective, the best cars to buy are two year old preowned cars with 25K miles and then keep until 100K miles when the depreciation and average cost of maintenance start to go up.. I'm a buy and hold guy - the last two cars I let go of both had over 250K miles...
That’s great information. You and I are very similar. I am also a buy and hold guy. My car came with 33K miles. From all the research I’ve done I could not find any long-term issues with my model so I am assuming it is just a good car to have. I am going to be a member of the Volvo forum and looking forward to future posts.
I should pick up my car by the end of the week. Very excited. In my two car garage the new car will be sitting next to my xc 70 2010. 😎
