Default Buying a 2015.5 v60 CC this weekend

Hey VF!

I'm looking to buy a 2015.5 V60 CC Platinum this weekend. I live in the Bay Area and found a dealer in So-Cal who is selling a new one with extended warranty for less than a new non-Platinum. The deal seems too good to pass up that I may buy it and trailer it up here. Am I crazy? The last time I bought a new car was my 2003 WRX. I've never bought a car sight unseen. Any tips?

Get them to send you a buyers order with the out the door total so you can see all the fees and what not that get added. Make sure they calculated the proper sales tax. Also make sure it is signed by a manager and that you can verify that person has authority. The devil is always in the details and a "deal" is never binding unless that buyers order has a valid managers sig.

Thanks for the heads up. The dealer in So-Cal sent me all the paperwork to get the ball rolling and everything seems to be on the up and up. It turns out that the warranty on the car went into effect at the beginning of the month and it technically is a CPO sale. I don't mind as the car has only 100 miles on it and title has never been transferred to anyone other than the dealer.

In the mean time a local dealer has matched the price but the warranty is not extended. I asked if their dealership could do the same CPO deal and am waiting to hear back. If they can pull it off I'll be hopping on a train and heading down to pick up the car tonight.
