Okay, I can see I am in good company, and definitely not the first new person today. I am on my fourth volvo wagon - current working model is 89 240... (Previous models - 81 240, 73 145, and 71 145). I am having a challenge with the transmission - recently put in a manual transmission (M46) from the 81 wagon. The M47 transmission went kaput. Now for the overdrive question... that didn't get put in!

Anyway, I look forward to reading and discussing. Great to see such an active forum!
