Ok so in the near future, I will be buying a 2001 S60 T5. It has a few problems, but I am fairly mechanical inclined and I won't mind working on it. However, in doing my research on the car I have learned that the transmission is a POS. Are they really that bad? Do they all break and have tons of problems? I am very excited to own the car soon, but I would hate to put money into fixing the other problems only to have the transmission go to crap. Any possibility of a manual swap? Any solid info would be a great help. Seeing as Volvos aren't very popular, it is extremely hard to find information. Thank you.
