Hello all, im here because my girlfriend just purchased a 1978 volvo 244dl, 3 speed auto, blue/blue with 40K on it very pretty car
i am a mechanic specializing in modern german cars, and my for fun vehicles are a 1950 DeSoto Custom Sedan and a 1931 model A hot rod

my goal here is to collect information and ask question as i have very little experience with old volvos.
at time of writing, i have just replaced the cylinder head and gasket, along with some small miscellaneous parts. the car was purchased with a blown headgasket and cracked head, and I'm now sorting out the small stuff
