Default New Guy, Old Volvo

Hey folks!

I have been in the market for some cheap wheels for awhile, biggest holdup was that I didn't want something boring. Well last night I brought home an '89 240 DL. It has nearly 169,000 on the odometer and will need some love, but that is part of why I bought it. I grew up working on all our cars with my dad, so while this will be my first time wrenching a non-Ford or Chrysler, I am looking forward to it.

Thanks in advance for your incalculable help, patience with my newness, and tolerance for the stupid questions that will inevitably arise.

Welcome. Hey, if you don't mind stupid answers, then go ahead and ask stupid questions. There's plenty of help on the forum. Hop on over to the 240 forum to find answers to your questions.

Wrenching your own car doesn't get any easier than on a 240. Simple mechanicals and tons of space in the engine compartment. Make sure to post pics of the 240. Welcome to the forum!
