New Member Doing A T5 OR 302 V8 Engine Swap Into A 1988 Volvo 760gle Turbo
Hello everyone. Let me start off by telling you a little about my cars and myself. When i first started driving I learned how to drive in a Volvo (1990 Volvo 240DL), my first car was a Volvo (1988 Volvo 760), Second car as well (1995 Volvo 850 wagon), and now i have 2 more Volvos. One of them is a 1988 Volvo 764GLE Turbo and a 1998 Volvo V70 T5. I love them both a lot and sad to say I need to sell the wagon. It's been off the road for about a year but i do still start it and drive it around the yard for a little bit just to keep everything working and flowing. I took the car off the road due to multiple codes popping up. It would make an awesome parts car because there is NO rust anywhere on the car and the interior is in really good condition. It would also be a very goon repair car. If you'd like to know more about the V70 you could email me at corysv70@gmail.com or call my home at 413-568-2638. If i don't answer or am not home feel free to leave a message. Ok, sorry about that. rambling and such. On to the 1988 Volvo 764gle Turbo. It is a great car! The redblock is awsome. Decent gas mileage too. No rust on this car either, not even a little bit. The car is completely stock at the moment but wont be for very long. I have both a T5 and a SBF V8 (from a late 80's Mustang GT) for the engine swap. The V8 conversion is relativity easy to install, The T5 swap I've heard is a pain in the ***. When the build starts I will be making a new thread just with LOTS of pictures. Anyway, I'll update everyone when something interesting happens. Drive safe everyone!
