Hello everyone.
I just brought home my first Volvo tonight. I bought a 1988 240 wagon. It's got a bunch of miles on it, as well as a few mechanical issues. It's in real good shape cosmetically(for the most part), and has a lot of potential.
I'm looking forward to searching the forum here for some information on the History of these cars, as well as some technical help on fixing the issues it has.
Thanks for letting me be a part of the Forum.

So far, the issues that need to be addressed are:
*Heater core replacement
*Blower motor(turn the fan on, and it runs for a few seconds before shutting down)
*Front suspension bushings(some knocking noise in the front end when driving rough roads)
I knew these issues when I bought it, so I am prepared to fix them. Other than that, it's a pretty solid beast. This picture is 'as found'. It has been parked under a tree of some sort, and will need to be scrubbed.

Thanks. Yes, 14" wheels(tires are 205/70)
I called a lot of local parts suppliers yesterday, and have yet to find a heater core in stock. Is there a preferred online store that folks use for parts? Prices that I've seen so far, range from $48 to over $100.
