New Member-Hopefully Joining Ownership Soon
Hello all,
I am possibly going to be joining the ranks of volvo-ownership in the not too distant future.
I currently drive a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. I love the car, but I'm looking to eliminate the large car payment and pick up something in the 2-4k price range to replace it with.
My parents had a few 2-series Volvos while I was growing up and they were bulletproof, so I've started considering a Volvo to replace my car.
As a general rule, are the 850-series cars and s70/early v70 cars as reliable as the old 2 series cars? Any major issues I need to be aware of, or look for when shopping around?
Thanks,
-Ben

As reliable but more expensive to fix because of the increaed use of electronics, fuel injection etc. Still I wouldn't let that drive me away from them. If you are mechanically inclined you can still do most service/repair.
Thanks again,
-Ben
