Default New Zealand Volvo Ownership

I am New to Volvo's, NZ and aggravation! We have been here Auckland in the Northshore for 7 months and looking to buy a house. I decided to down downgrade our Touareg and get something reliable and spacious. This brought me to a 2000 Volvo V70 T5 Auto 140k......... What a parcel!, after only 200k a warning came up "NTSC Service" then the gearbox started to fail. Took it to the arrogant Auckland dealer who wanted 6.5K +GST to fix it but couldn't tell me what it was until they were into it!. Got a place to fix it for £5000 + Gst and the gears are working fine, however to my astonishment the message has come back on. After reading on here, I am now paranoid as many of the symptoms mentioned here I can relate to, warnings lights, tyres rubbing on full lock etc. I thought the T5 V70 would have been superb, the favourite of Plod in the UK (that should have been enough to stop me) and Volvo marketing makes you think safe and reliable. The quality is no where near BMW and Mercedes whom the Volvo V70 wants to be associated. I was hoping someone could put me in touch with a reliable Volvo Specialist in Auckland who doesn't "charge like a wounded Buffalo" and stop me haemorrhaging any more money. A very dissatisfied Volvo owner, should have bought a Merc!

Got another warning "AIR Bags require service ASAP", fantastic!!! anyone know how to get this off! bought this car because it had a lot of service history some big bills, New ECU, Timing Belt etc, what a mistake buying this thing!!
