I recently purchased a 2001 V70 T5 in very good condition. The car was well maintained with all service records and has a new (in 2007) transmission. I knew the tranmission was a weak link in the 2001 model year so having a new transmission was a major selling point for me. It has 84K miles on it and I just repalced the timing belt, pulleys, plugs and oil. Overall I really like the car and driving it but if does have a couple of problems. The alarm goes off for no reason and the remotes work only occasionally. Any suggestions about the alarm or remotes would be appreciated. I've replaced batteries in both remotes and I am not sure what is setting off the alarm. I've read problems with the alarm siren can cause this problem.
