Default looking at buing a used 30 :new member.

Hi all, I'm completely new to this forum. I'm looking at getting a used 2009 c30 R with 82,000 miles. I would be trading my 04 corvette on it. After trade I'm only going to owe 2000$ I've done most of the work on my c5, when looking around the volvo the lip was in great shape with only minor scratches to the underside, also I noted that the serpintine belt was new. I took it for a test drive and everything felt smooth, it shifted good and it all felt tight. Is their anything else that I should look for? the car was a lease and all of the routine maintence was done at the dealer ship. Also it has 4 new matching tires, the car is at a dealership.

Any comments would be great.

Seems like a good car, don't forget to do a transmission (if automatic) fluid drain - Volvo doesn't require maintenance on it but these Aisin transmissions are sensitive in the long term to fluid change. Look in the repair papers for any electrical recurrent issue. If manual transmission, clutch is very expensive to replace on this engine, make sure it still has life left on it.

If awd inspect the Haldex differential, in the past those had issues and are very expensive.

At 82000 miles the shocks/struts are probably worn, drive it on a rougher road to see how smooth the ride is (the struts won't leak or lose rebound, just become more stiff).

Actually those transmissions are quite reliable.

No inspection of the rear end will show anything. If there is a problem, it's usually electrical.

Struts won't leak? The front struts leak all the time.
