<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"> I have a chance to buy a 96 960 sedan tomorrow. It's in beautiful shape. Very clean, great looking. However, the "check engine" light is on. It has a new sticker. But I am concerned about what that possibly could be.

 

well i am not as familiar with some of the newer volvo cars and their engine operation. when it comes to my car, a 91 240, i know that the ECU works with the fuel injection computer to diagnose problems with engine operation. a few of he problems it can detect are fuel injection problems or mixture problems. before u buy, maybe ask if u can bring the car to a certified mechanic and ask them to hook up a computer to diagnose the problem. im not sure if the 960 comes with a self diagnostic computer.

 

I decided not to go with the car, I got a 96 960 wagon instead. Thanks for replying.
