Hey everybody!
Just bought our first new Volvo, a 2006 S40 in Flint Grey Metallic. The car replaced our 1997 Mercedes Benz E320. Don't get me wrong, we loved the E320. However, with my mother turning 81...it was simply to difficult having an older car that, to be honest, always needed something. When we decided it was time to say goodby, I wanted to find a european sedan that combined quality, luxury, good breeding, and was just a little sexy. The S40 fit that bill, and all at a price just under 30K. We looked at the C-Class, but I could not muster much enthusiasm for Mercedes current standing in reliability. The BMW 3 series was a little too small. We are very very happy, and I look forward to many years of fun and safe driving pleasure. Okay, now for my first question. I read in the owner's guide that you can roll the windows down using the remote upon approaching a hot car. I cannot get this feature to work however. Any advice? Thanks guys!

I just got my S40 a couple weeks ago myself and I've been extremely happy with it. It replaced my Saab 9-5 which is a fine car as well, but eh like you said, repairs. Anyway, just giving my welcome
