Default New to VF- been a Swede driver for 10yrs.

Hi all,
I'm new to the VF as far as being a registered member. I've dropped in before to check out the mods other members have done, and researched advice from other Volvo vets.
Lately, I've just posted for sale, my beloved '98 V70 with 159K miles for sale, the reason being---, I drive about 19-25k miles each year, so I decided perhaps I should look for a another AWD wagon with low miles. Through my travels AND RESEARCH, I ran across a distressed seller with a cherry executive leased W8 Passat wagon w/ the sport pkg, and only 29,000 miles for sale for $24k, I offered less and ended up paying $20,000 cash+tx.
I had seen it, and a few Volvos from the same dealer on the internet (Joe's Cool Cars in Denver,CO.) and since the blue book loan value was just over $31,000 it seemed a no brainer.
Economy as it is, won't let me keep all my toys, so I've got to sell my Volvo V70 and Saab 900 if I'm going to keep the Passat W8 4-motion.
Just like the saying,"If you haven't driven one, you wouldn't understand".
I bought my 98 Volvo V70 2 years ago from the 1st owner with 123K highway miles, it drove and appeared as new, I've only had one down time, when the Volvo quit, the Mass air meter went south one morning, and the car wouldn't fire.
Through your forum I was able to figure the most likely causes, and, after buying a Innova 3100 diagnostic scanner it confirmed the members post that the sensor was faulty.
Having worked on many american and european vehicles before, I have confidence in my skills as a mechanic, so I do all the repairs and services myself.
I replaced the mas air sensor, spark plugs, rotor cap, rotor, plug wires and switched to a K&N air filter and thoroughly cleaned the throttle body and all air induction.
This V70 is my 3rd Swedish car, early in 1996, I bought my first Euro, a '86 Saab 900S 5-speed 3 door, for $319 tax included from a used car lot in Denvers southside. I liked the Saab so much, I bought another one, a '89 9000CD 5-speed turbo sedan just a few months later. The 900 ended up being my daughters 1st car. That meant dad wasn't going to see the windy moutain roads in the 900 unless it was broke down somewhere. The only probs with the 900 were my daughters lack of foresight to keep fuel in it.
I love the fact that I can hop on the internet,, and find a multitude of knowledge from veterans such as Vf members for help to fix any ailment s I might run into.
Stay Safe,
LOWREDV70AWD
