Default New to volvo

Hey guys hows it going. I am new to to Volvo scene, I am actually a Honda guy. But friends of mine are selling a 96 Volvo 850T-5. Just wondering if anyone has any insight on what I should look for before buying this. What are some common problems with these cars. So far I know it needs new tires and a front bumper!

Thanks a lot!

Nice car....was it in an accident to need a bumper?
How much is he wanting? check the maintenance records. How many miles?
Make sure it has had the timing belt replaced, depending on the miles.

Welcome. If the 850 checks out OK you should give it a hard look & +1 on others ideas.

1. Have it checked by a trusted mechanic.
2. If it checks out "giving it a hard look" means drive it, look it over completely, etc.
3. +1 means I agree with what previous posters had suggested.
