New to Volvo
Hello! I've recently purchased a 2005 S60 2.5T and I have to say, it's a great car so far. I've had a couple of Audi A4's and this seems just as nice, if not more so, than they are. For a family sedan, it's pretty fun to drive, and the torque peak starting way down at 1,500 RPM is very nice. Here's a pic of her and my other car, an 05 GTO. I think they look nice together...
New to Volvo myself, but welcome aboard!
I had a GTO when they first came out in '04. I had the very first run of Magnaflow stainless exhausts and the same with the B&M short shifter that was developed as well for that platform! I also had to import an air intake from Austrailia since there were none developed at the time in America. Fun car, but I get bored easily.

Nice! I've had my Goat for several years, but it's only mildly modded (intake, exhaust, headers, tune). I still love it and hope I can keep it for many many years to come.
Anyway, back to the forum topic, I really like my new (to me) Volvo. It's replacing my Audi A4 that has 212,000+ miles on it as my family hauler. Needed something reliable to take on road trips and not worry about parts falling off as I go down the highway, and it fits the bill perfectly (and some). I don't know what it is, but there's something I really enjoy about driving it.

After years of driving Saabs ('11 9-5 Next Gen Turbo and '05 9-7x 5.3L), this new Volvo was the closest I could get to a new Saab.
A friend of mine has a 10 year old S60 with the 2.5L. It still looks like new and it just turned 500,000 miles! So you should be in good shape.

...at least you guys knew what you are getting...just purchased a new C70 (2013 but brand new in May 2014 USA) with (I thought!!) all the bells and whistles...but guess what, volvo does not provide a spare tire in the trunk and you can just pray in the middle of night with a side puncture (as this cannot be repaired with the emergency foam inflater...as a replacement for the spare tire comes with the car)...so there you have it for over US$40,000, I paid...akd5600
