Hi I am new to Volvo I have restored and had several vehicles and the worst of them being made by Chrysler abnormally early failures, engine problems that should have happened in a NASCAR instead of a vehicle going 45mph. I have always liked the early Volvos like the 122s or Amazon and the 2000 and newer wagons. I moved north and now have a need for an all wheel drive vehicle. I have ignored all the Naysayers about how expensive and confusing these cars can be and bought a 2000 V70 XC turbo with a bad fuel pump and cam/crank seal leaks with 159k miles for $500 I will keep the forum updated of its progress.
