Default New to Volvo

Hello all
I'm new to this forum, and to Volovo's and just purchased a 1999 V70XC, for being 16 years old this car drives fantastic, good power, handles pretty good for how heavy it is.
My question is, whenever I do a tight left turn or U turn I hear what sounds like metal hitting metal coming from the right front, and it sounds rotational. I removed the tire to see what it could possibly be but can't see anything that would cause the sound. I turned the steering wheel to full left lock and I don't see any clearance issue. The front half shaft seem to be tight (no slop), there's no rocks or any other debris jamed in the anti lock ring, all seems to be normal.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks Duane
