NEW VOLVO MEMBER SAYING HELLO ALL
HELLO EVERYONE
I HAVE A 2001 V40 AND IT IS GREAT
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GREAT A CENTRE CONSOLE FROM
AND ALSO THE TRIM UNDER THE CD PLAYER.
I ALSO HAVE JUST BROUGHT A FAULT CODE READER OFF EBAY
SO WHY PAY 150 FOR VOLVO TO TELL YOU WHATS WRONG WHEN YOU CAN JUST COME TO MY HOUSE AND I WILL TELL YOU THE CODES
MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS OBDII AND I CAN RESET THE CODES
REGARDS
JON

RE: NEW VOLVO MEMBER SAYING HELLO ALL
Hello mate,
Greetings from Narita, Japan.
Glad to hear your V40 is serving you well.
As I'm an 850 driver, I'm not privy to V40s. Post this question in the vehicle-specific forum (V40, in this case) to receive accurate replies.
Yes, an OBD-II scanner is a nice tool to have, except that aftermarket units don't seem capable of retrieving codes from ABS, Climate Control ECUs, etc... Otherwise, electronic system troubleshooting becomes much easier & less expensive.
P.S I once worked with British Airways in the States and had a great time working with the gentlemen.
Cheers,
JPN
