Hello world!

I'm a Texan and ardent Toyota devotee who is about to get a new-to-me C70 on Thursday. Already ordered and paid.

As mentioned, Toyota devotee – formerly into Jeeps – always into cars. When I was younger (in my mid-30s now) I thought the C70 was really freaking cool. I have always admired Volvo's build quality and safety record. It so happens that I married a woman whose father is completely devoted to Volvos for nearly 30 years – as in, his entire family drives Volvo sedans and he would never drive anything else.

In a recent need to get a new gas-conscious vehicle for some business travel, the C70 kept popping up as a quirky and surprisingly sensible option – they are an astonishing value (to my mind) when compared to other vehicles in this bizarrely inflated market.

So I bought one. Can't wait to read about these great vehicles, not sure if I will post or not – but excited to join the world of Volvo for myself.
