Hello to all,

I just bought a 2009 S-40 and really like the car so far. I've been driving a BMW 3 series for the last 10 years and was ready for a change and hopefully better reliability. After much research and shopping around for best engineering and value, I decided to give this product a try.

Having been a pilot, I really appreciate the simple and common sense layout of the driver's controls. Some reviews state this car to be slow on acceleration, but I find the 2.4 to be just as peppy as my BMW 2.5. Perhaps I "preach to the choir", but I have high expectations for this ownership experience and being a part of this exchange of information.

I got the cloth seats, dark gray, and treated them with Scotchguard. Be careful not to overs-spray onto the vinyl portions of the seats as this left a white residue which I cleaned off with a light mix of Simple Green and water. Any comment on these cloth seats ref. cleaning and wear?

Default Welcome

Having been a FAA mechanic, I hate the way Honda designs their engine compartment...no room to move your hand.

Anyway, just about every cleaning spray/agent I bought says on the back of the can:

"...first try on a hidden area to make sure that this product does not leave residue blah blah blah "

You could also give it a try on a can of spray meant for regular household carpet/sofa cleaning use. However, ".....first try on a hidden area to make sure...."
