I jsut purchase a 2006 Volvo s60 2.5T FWD with 18K miles. Leather (tan) interior, power seats driver and passenger, heated seats, driver and passenger, headlight washers, rain sensor wipers, red walnut trim, 8 speaker (with rear shelf loudspeakers) in berrent blue mettalic for $22,000. Good deal? I am loving every minute of it, seats feel like my home sofa and nice amount of power. I don't speed anymore. I now just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Welcome to the forum, I wish it serves you well.

A good buy you found, be sure to follow scheduled maintenance and Volvos can outlast Japanese cars.

Good luck to you,

Good day All,
I have just received my very first Volvo - a 1999 S40 T4, Red with black leather interior...
Have only driven it for 35 kilometres so far, but I am already in love with this car...

Regards,
Morné

Welcome to the forum, and be sure to keep the correct coolant solution for your climate. I believe it requires more water than coolant in your region.

Hello to Everyone,

Just joined and purchase a 1998 S70 T-5, read tons of the threads already and find them extremely valuable and hope to contribute at least as much as I take.

Excited thats all I can say, I am looking forward to gleaning as much info as I can from you the knowing. I just bought a 2000 C 70 convertible with 66000 miles for $9950, and I am looking to add many more to this little beauty. a couple of small issues that I have questions about.

1. I have a six and three disc changer built into the factory sound system but it does not have the six disc changer hooked up at this time, can I add an Ipod input into this system? and how?

2. The lights next to the gear shift are out, is this an easy fix?

3. Slight shimmy at about 35 - 50 mph nothing severe or even irritating. what would you do?

4. Key fob will not lock the car, it will unlock it and the panic button still works, any suggestions?

Thanks for your time and I will get some pictures posted soon.

I have a 2005 V50 and I'm lovin' it. I do have a question... the seats are t-tec and I drive my incontinent mother around. How do I keep the fabric from smelling like urine? I am not sure if I should use mild detergent or vinegar , any suggestions? thanks.

Welcome to the site guys and please try to keep the tech question in a related area.

JnRphotography -
1 Not sure if they made an iPod interface for that year, check with the dealer.
2 It should be an easy fix. just carefullytake the trim panels and center counselout and replace it.
3 Could be anything, but check the tires for any signs ofun-evenwear.
4 could be a badconnection in the remote. You could try to clean the contacts or see about a replacement.

Kajak -
Not sure, but once they are clean,I would buy some seat covers for extraprotection.

Good Luck, and Welcome.

Hey, I am seriously considering buying a S70 2.3T HP! Its fully kitted, the only thing is, is thats its done 140K on the clock... The seller wants £3000, so $5900 apprx, the car is about 10 years old, everything working. I love volvo's do you reckon its worth buying? I want it for at least 3 years, dont want it to suddenly die... How can I make sure I am buyin something good quality, what do i check for. And by the way, how good is it on petrol! Let me know!

LArry!
