New Volvo Owner
My name is Adam and I live in Spring, TX. I got a Great Dane recently and started looking for a wagon to haul him around in and fell in love with the Volvo wagons. So after searching Craigslist for a week looking for a cheap beater, I found my 1995 940 station wagon (NA), auto trans. It has 253k miles and after making the hour long highway trip home today flawlessly (held 90 mph steady no problem and suspension feels great), it's had trouble starting (cranks but won't run, maybe fuel pump). Once it's running smooth I plan to turbo it and maybe turn it into a rally-style car. A buddy owns a fab shop and wants to play around with his new CNC plasma cutter thing. I've been a long time member of a Chevy Cruze forum and moderated a Mitsubishi Lancer forum. Hope to learn a lot here and eventually contribute what I can.

New member, currently own 2001 V70 XC, 150,000 miles. Previous was 1998 V70 AWD, totaled head-on with F250, uninsured 18 year old lost control on ice. Wife was alone, received shin bruises from legs contacting under dash and shoulder strap marks on her neck. A bit shook up and sore but no broken bones. Also owned a 122 wagon some years ago. Wish I had that one back.
Recent 1200 mile trip from Wisconsin to Florida netted 25.9 mpg. Not bad for a loaded wagon; power tools, coolers of food, plants, and lots of other unneeded items. Why do I keep hauling all that junk back and forth? Because I have room for it.
