Hi all. just about to take ownership of a 2021 XC60 later this week. First Volvo I have had since driving my parent's '75(?) 245. Also, I am converting over from what was the other main Swedish brand (not Koenigsegg) and the newest car at my house is now jumping 14 model years from 2007. But, alas, there are no more Saab's to be found so I've moved down the road a bit to Volvo. Anyway, will add a picture once i pick up the vehicle, but trying to take a look at the forums a bit in preparation. I used to be involved in the Saab forums, both getting and giving info. These are generally great sources of info and help.

Silly me for reading the "New Members Read This First" sticky at the top of this forum, but in item #3, it says to "look through all of these links before asking a question. https://volvoforums.com/m_38606/tm.htm". I tried that, but the link doesn't go anywhere. Maybe some site reorganization? Anyway, for new members that 'read the manual', can someone fix the link? I can't post in the thread since it's closed so I thought I would post here.

Also in reading threads in this forum, no one seems to be reading/following the "*** tech questions do not go here ***" sticky either . Probably a lot like herding cats...

I've been an engineer in the auto industry for coming up on 30 years (mostly designing airbag controllers) and I tend to take a shot at doing my own work on my vehicles. We'll see how that works out with a 2021 MY vs the 1966 - 2007 of my other vehicles.

Anyway, looking forward to the new journey....
