What do I need to look out for when buying a used C30? New to Volvo thanks!

 

Is it a R Design or a normal one?

 

Thanks for reply, forgot to add, within 4 miles of my house, I have a choice of 2 normal and 2 R-Designs, do I stay away from R-Design? Right now leaning towards normal, it is cheaper and I suspect would be less risk. 2009 to 2011 vintage.

I have just bought a 2009 R Design S40 2.0D and they are basically the same just the body and chassis is different and a few other bits obviously, soon as I bought it a engine light came on but it was under warranty they diagnosed the problem and it was the Differential pressure sensor to the DPF, it's only a rubber hose costs about £20 for the part and easy to fit yourself I've heard they go quite often but apart from that there is nothing else wrong with these cars. If you want a sporty looking one id go for the R Design the standard ones look abit dull.
