Talking Newb from So Cal

What's up everyone, I'm new to Volvo's, not to cars, my current daily is a 1994 Mazda Miata. It's become sort of a track toy, not as good to drive daily as I would like to drive a daily.

So, I found myself a 1985 Volvo 240 Intercooled Turbo on BBS rims, it has about 160k on it, and it's pretty clean. I will be picking that up this week if all goes as it would in an absolutely perfect world.

I'm not new to forums, it's a pleasure to find another well trafficked forum. Look forward to foruming with you!

Welcome to the forum. Is the 240 a +t job? Because they stopped the 240 turbos in 82 or 83 I believe.

Nope. It's a stock turbo, although you're right, they are hard to find. I picked up the car yesterday. Its been upgraded to a little 13t. Spool time is absurdly fast, it's almost a joke. It goes from not in boost to full boost almost as soon as you mash your foot down.
