Newbie to the forum
Just giving a shout as a new member to all of the Volvo enthusiasts on this page.
Previously, I owned an '89 240 DL, had to sell it and have regretted it ever since. The Protege that I replaced it with was a good-running, peppy little car but the frame was a mess and too much to repair. As of yesterday, I am now the owner of another '89 model, only this time it's one of the badge-less 740s built right here in Halifax. It needs some work (balljoint on the driver's wheel, a new horn and the e-brakes need to be replaced) but I'm happy as hell to be back in the Volvo fold. My hope is to upgrade in the next few years to a 960 Turbo and keep the 740 as a hobby car, as it only has 235,000 kms on it and is in solid shape.
Anyway, thanks for reading and I'm sure that you'll see my name on this forum more than a few times over the next few years.
