newbie, steering pulls to right
I bought a 2006 S60 in late Jan. After 1000 miles, it started pulling to the right. The service mgr at dealership said all Volvos do that. I have a hard time believing that. Anybody else have this problem?
Sounds like a large crock of horse hooey to me. Things to check would be correct tire pressure, alignment of front end, a bent or warped wheel, binding brakes or wheel bearing. None of these are likely on a new car except tire pressure I would think. All front wheel drive cars do something called "torque steer" on very hard acceleration but I have two Volvo's a 2001 XC70 and a 2002 S40 and only the S40 does it and it is very mild and happens only when I floor the car from a dead stop. My 02 S60 only pulls under hard acceleration, which because of torque they all will. When driving down the road you can let go of the steering wheel and it will track straight as an arrow. Sounds like your alignment is out of whack and you have either a stupid or lazy Volvo service person.
