Noob First Time Volvo Owner - V70
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and am a first time Volvo owner. I just purchased a '99 V-70, non-turbo. The car is in great condition with 230K kms. I've been driving a VW TDi Beetle for the past 10 years and it is now getting tired at 465K kms...so I was able to purchase my Volvo for a thousand bucks, as is.
The car needed 2 new front tires, R/H tie rod end, R/H drive axle, alignment and an O2 sensor to pass the e-test.
So far I'm loving it. It drives great and is solid (which I would expect from a euro car).
One question I do have is about the drivers windshield wiper. It has a plastic air deflector on it. Do they all come like this? It seems to be too heavy for the wiper because it is rubbing on the windshield, so much so, that I think I need to get the windshield replaced as the plastic deflector is rubbing and has left a lot of scratches in the glass.
Any info about this would be very helpful.
