Preventative Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance
I just purchased a used 1990 740 turbo intercooler with 118K. I know I will need to make some repairs, as problems may present themselves. I noticed a small amount of fluid around airbox and turbo, but Turbo has boost and does not blow smoke out of exhaust under load. Also the transmission coolant hose is leaking down low which may be the cause of fluid traces in engine compartment, but wont know until I perform a thorough inspection. Car seems to run alright, and does not tell me anything by driving. Can anyone provide a list of things to look for, and repair, for a car of this age and mileage to prevent future problems??? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

RE: Preventative Maintenance
Check the timing belt. (Should be done every (50,000)
Check for oil leaks at front engine seals,
Check the fuel filter,
Check tune up parts,
Check for worn drive belts,
Check front end for play (Balljoints and tierods),
Check brakes and bushings,
Give it a good general look over.

RE: Preventative Maintenance
Thanks for the help. Overrall the car seems good, but you never know when buying used. Front end was checked out and needs nothing, by a Volvo guy (mech) that I trust. Is there anyway to determine whether this car has the Nivomat suspension setup. Also, do you have any suggestions for lowering 1-2 inches and stiffening. Although suspension is decent, it has more body roll than I would prefer. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can make.
