Have a 98 S40 2litre non-turbo manual. The gearbox is making terminal noises and the only 2nd hand gearbox that I can find that even comes close is off a turbo version of the same car. The research I have done suggests that the clutch plate has a different spline but I would put in a new clutch while the gearbox was out anyway so could change it for a turbo clutch. Does anyone know if this conversion will work?
